McCracken County Youth Soccer Association

Board Members:  Greg Holtgrewe, Mark Davis, Myron Wessel, Amy Peal, Chris Edmond, Dave Althouse  

Minutes  Greg reviewed the minutes of the October 14, 2008 meeting which were  approved unanimously.

Indoor Soccer  Amy will invite Tim Stonecipher to attend the December 2, 2008 MCYSA Board meeting.  The purpose of this discussion will be for the Association to  provide constructive input regarding the indoor program.

TOPS Soccer Update  Amy reported that the season went well and it concluded November 1, 2008.  Amy will send a summary report which will be attached to the minutes.  Based on calls Amy expects a significant increase from the 19 players registered for this initial season.

Spring 09 Calender  Greg reviewed the draft calendar prepared at the last meeting.  Following a brief discussion the Spring Academy was scheduled for March 28, 2009 in conjunction with the recreational work day.

It was the consensus of the Board that MCYSA should host a CCL day but not a tournament for the spring of 2009.  A spring CCL day was tentatively scheduled for March 21, 2009.

Appreciation Day  Jack Butler coordinated the thank you appreciation lunch for all parties that helped with the Land & Water grant used to upgrade facilities at the complex.  The board agreed to send a thank you to Jack for organizing this event. 

New Complex  David Hutcheson approached Greg about starting a fund raising effort to develop a new soccer complex.  The Board will talk to David about this effort at a future meeting.
